The new further leave to remain FLR(M) form is now required from all fianceeand proposed civil partner visa holders applying to extend their stay in the UK subsequent to the marriage or civil partnership, with the old form no longer accepted as of 6th April 2009. Applications submitted using the old form will be rejected, with no refund of fees. It is important to be aware that, even though the new form looks very similar, there are some differences, so it is imperative that the new form is used for all applications.
The UK Home Office processing fees have increased considerably, from its previous GBP395 for postal applications up to GBP465. In-person UK further leave to remain FLR(M) applications, made at a Public Enquiry Office (PEO) have increased from GBP595 to GBP665
