Effective July 1, 2012, the Australian Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) will increase visa processing fees. The proposed fees were published on May 29, 2012.
Offshore Applications:
Subclass 300 prospective marriage visa:
increasing from $1,995 to $2,060
Subclass 309 partner/spousal visa:
increasing from $1,995 to $2,060
Onshore Applications:
Subclass 820 partner/spouse visa – increasing from $2,960 to $3,060
The new fees for onshore and offshore partner visa applications will take effect on July 1, 2012. All fees are payable in Australian Dollars at the time of submission. If you intend to lodge your fiancée or partner visa application outside Australia, you may be required to make your payment in the currency accepted by the Australian High Commission, Embassy or Consulate that has jurisdiction over your place of normal residence. The DIAC processing fee is non-refundable regardless of the outcome of the application.
